Christie is my awesome new barnmate at Ingenium Farm in Moorpark, and her horse Luciano is a total dreamboat, so I was incredibly excited to shoot them in a recent sunset session.

The farm is part of the Rancho de Las Palmas estate, used for weddings and special events, and the arena is surrounded by this amazing tropical landscaping.

Thanks to the styling talents of Megan Muscarella, Christie easily outshone her surroundings in this incredible lace dress.

Stylist Megan is also the founder of Solid Citizen Equestrian, a new equestrian clothing line that I absolutely love. I wear my SC pieces for riding, shooting, and even out for date night. They’re my favorite shirts! Christie was kind enough to model the new Blue Ribbon color of the popular Haley riding shirt.

Luciano was literally perfect the ENTIRE session. Since he’s so trustworthy, Christie was able to hop on for a few shots! She’s a fantastic bareback rider.

In a career first for me, Christie’s cat joined in the shoot. Yep, you read that right. Her cat! His name is Apollo and he’s a pretty cool little fluffball.

Christie’s husband Ryan holding Apollo while Luciano gives him the full inspection (and a little side-eye). Ryan’s a great sport and pretty close to Luciano levels of unicorn-ness.
